GIS

At CLR, we recognize that GIS is shaping the future of design, and we are in the forefront. Currently, design work happens inside the CAD software; the exact same capabilities are now being designed into GIS systems. If selected, CLR will be there to help you make that transition. Our GIS capabilities include everything from needs assessment to implementation.

TIMBER LANE UTILITY DISTRICT - GIS, HOUSTON, TX

CLR created this GIS mapping system for Timber Lane Utility District. Infrastructure mapped included waterline, sewer line, storm sewer lines as well as above ground facilities such as motors, wastewater treatment plants, clarifiers, wells, Ground storage tanks, hydropnuematic tanks, pumps, trail system, and signage. In addition, we have geo-referenced the district's park master plans into the GIS system as an image that overlays the property layer to show their existing and future park facilities.

LYONDELL CHEMICAL COMPANY - GIS, HOUSTON, TX

CLR proposed a solution, which required the creation of an abstract map of their properties and adjacent boundaries using surveying techniques, which in turn was used to develop a land management GIS system that housed data relative to those properties. In addition, CLR built a GIS interface using ESRI web-based server technology to allow the client to access CLR's web servers and view their data, via the Internet. This system displays the properties owned by the client and allows them to retrieve the deeds related to those properties. It also provides locations of the wells for the drill sites within the property limits.

CLR is in the process of working with Lyondell to help integrate a work order maintenance application for the structures within the plants facilities, buildings, tanks, etc., as well as a pavement management condition assessment solution the client can geographically identify dilapidated features and schedule repairs.

CITY OF MESQUITE - GIS, MESQUITE, TEXAS

Developed Geographic Information System (GIS) to document the exterior residential building condition of primary structures, as well as the condition of the associated sidewalks and driveways, for approximately 37,000 residences within the city limits.

This new database and mapping information was integrated into the City's existing GIS system for future maintenance, updating and historical tracking by the City of Mesquite - Building Inspecting Department.

DICKINSON ISD - GIS, DICKINSON, TEXAS

A rezoning application was developed with the intent to provide DISD the short-term capabilities to address rezoning issues as pertaining to the 2003/2004 school sessions.

Based on feedback and instruction from DISD, CLR has developed custom tools and interfaces that allow quick and easy requests for information in the form of map displays, tabular reports, and interactive tools for analyzing student data. Additional tools have been provided that allow easy access to common operations such as selecting parcels and reviewing student information prior to realigning attendance zones.
