Kirby Drive
CLR is currently
providing the paving and drainage improvements to Kirby Drive and
adjacent side streets between Richmond and Westheimer to improve
mobility in the Upper Kirby area. The work consists of
installation of 72-inch storm sewer on Kirby Drive between
Richmond and Westheimer and storm sewer improvements ranging from
24-inch to 48-inch diameter on several other streets that tie into
the trunk sewer on Kirby Drive. The roadway improvement work
includes reconstruction of the entire roadway to a City of Houston
standard concrete roadway consisting of three 11-foot lanes on
either side with a 14-foot wide median in the middle with 12-foot
wide left-turn lanes. The work also includes new sidewalks,
utility relocation and coordination, and new traffic signals.
Scope of services includes: final design, PS&E, construction
phase services, SW3P, private utility conduit layout, cleaning and
televising TCP, geotechnical investigation, Phase 2 ESA,
topographic survey, rightof-way acquisition and urban forestry
services.

The
design of 10,040 linear feet of 48-inch diameter water main pipe
beginning at the northeast corner of the intersection of Louetta
Road with Canterbury Forest Drive and continuing east along
Louetta Road to west of the intersection of Louetta Road and BNSF
railroad.
The estimated probable construction cost of the
project is $
8,437,468.50
excluding easement acquisition and engineering fees

The design of 1,585 linear feet of 42-inch
diameter water main pipe. The watermain begins at the northeast
corner of the intersection of Louetta Road with Canterbury Forest
Drive and heads west on Louetta Road and ends 200 feet beyond the
west bank of Harris County Flood Control District Channel
K142-05-00.
The
actual construction cost was $ 3,456,398.00.

Authority - Project 6B-2
The design of 9,950 linear feet of 30-inch
diameter and 7,481 linear feet of 24” diameter watermain pipe.
The watermain begins at the end of Project 6B-1 and continues west
on Louetta Road turning southwest on Malcomson Road then northwest
on Grant Road and ends at the southwest intersection of Grant Road
and Spring Cypress Road.
The actual construction cost was
$9,988,335.00.

The design of 1,185 LF of 24-inch
diameter water main pipe, 2,320 LF of 20-inch diameter water main
pipe, 15,550 LF of 16-inch diameter water distribution line, 200
LF of 12-inch diameter water distribution line, and service
connections to four (4) Utility Districts.
The
estimated probable construction cost for Project 6B-3 is
$4,656,547 excluding ROW / easement acquisitions.

The
design of 5,825 linear feet of 16-inch diameter water main
pipe. The project includes a connection
to Prestonwood Forest Utility District Water Plant No. 1
consisting of 130 linear feet of a 12” diameter waterline.
The
actual construction cost bid for Project 4C, which excludes areas
through the Michael Stevens Interests, Inc Cypresswood Apartment
Complex, on March 11, 2008 was approximately $ 961,830.57

The design of 7,135 LF of 60-inch diameter water
main pipe. The majority of the 60-inch watermain is to be
constructed in open cut with areas of trenchless operations to be
installed in a steel tunnel liner.
The actual construction cost was
$5,445,014.40.
